Masterclasses & Talks

Our 2024 Young Artists perform for and get coached by the Juno-winning Sharon Wei, violist of the New Orford String Quartet and professor of viola at Western University. This masterclass in D.F. Cook Recital Hall is free and open to the public.

Listen in as Renée Jolles, professor of violin at the Eastman School of Music and concertmaster of the world-renowned, Grammy Award-winning, conductorless Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, works with the Tuckamore Young Artists. This masterclass is free and open to the public.

Our six Young Artist chamber groups will receive feedback and mentorship from the individual members of the Ying Quartet following live performances. These masterclasses will take place at the Memorial University School of Music (D.F. Cook Recital Hall, Suncor Energy Hall, Choral Room, Chamber Studio) and are open to the public.

Our Young Artist pianists receive coaching from one of America’s foremost pianists, Jeremy Denk. This masterclass is free and open to the public.
