This August, the Tuckamore Festival features ticketed mainstage concerts with acclaimed guest artists, Young Artist recitals, post-concert artist interviews, and a spectacular festival finale event. Our Tuckamore Travels tour takes the Young Artist Miltenberg Trio “beyond the overpass” right after the two-week festival.
Our first evening concert on Wednesday, August 7th, features the captivating U.K.- based Greenwich Trio with flutist Boris Bizjak. Headlining this year’s festival are America’s foremost pianist Jeremy Denk and the renowned Ying Quartet in evening concerts on August 12th, 13th, 14th, and 17th. We are also excited to welcome violinist Renée Jolles and violist Sharon Wei, who share the stage with Tuckamore Faculty on an exciting collaborative concert on August 9th. As always, we like to present some concerts that expand our conceptions of “chamber music” and we are thrilled that percussionist Curtis Andrews and flutist Raman Kalyan will take us inside the world of Carnatic music on August 8th. You’ll also catch us at a new venue during the 2024 festival! On Friday, August 16th, you can find us at The Majestic Theatre for Bach’s Long Walk with CBC personality Tom Allen, harpist Lori Gemmell, violinist Mark Fewer, soprano Deantha Edmunds alongside Bill Brennan on piano and Jim Vivian on bass. The Festival is also thrilled to have Jason Noble as Tuckamore’s guest composer!
Of course, our young artists and composers are always the heart of the festival, and we are thrilled that twenty-six bright young stars from across the continent will be joining us here in St. John’s this August. Audiences can hear their inspiring performances in lunchtime recitals, or during their mainstage debut at the Festival Finale on August 18th.
Tickets are purchasable via the Tuckamore Festival website or by calling TicketPro at 1-888-311-9090. Remember, you can take advantage of incredible savings by getting a festival pass!
