The Tuckamore Festival has launched a new composer mentorship called Widening the Circle with a call out for applications for young composers between the ages of 14-19. As part of this innovative online program, up to four youth participants will be selected to receive one-one-one lessons, participate in workshops and social activities, and have a chance for their music to be performed and recorded by professional classical musicians. It’s an amazing opportunity for keen, young composers interested in developing their skills and connecting with professional musicians across the country!

WtC will run from January-March 2022, and its goals are to both widen networking opportunities for young and emerging composers as well as strengthen and enhance their mentorship capacity. We will also make workshops and conversations available to anyone in the Canadian composer community who would like to participate. Drop us a line at info@tuckamorefestival.ca for more information.
