This programme for two pianos and percussion features three of the most beloved and popular works of the repertoire: Bernstein’s West Side Story, an unsurpassed masterpiece of musical theatre; George Gershwin’s iconic American in Paris, a romantic symphonic poem with jazzy undertones; and Mussorgsky’s stunningly original, powerful and intense Pictures at an Exhibition. This vibrant and energetic repertoire lends itself exceptionally well to two pianos and percussions and Tuckamore is so pleased to bring together again the wonderful St. John’s-based percussionists Etienne Gendron and Bill Brennan with this outstanding piano Duo from the other side of Canada.
